What is Cellulite?

cellulite is caused by a disorder within the cutaneous and
subcutaneous connective tissue. Typically affecting women,
cellulite results from an increase in the size of adipocytes
(fat cells of the hypodermis) and an accumulation of fluid in
the dermis and hypodermis. as adipocytes get bigger, the
envelopes that enclose them become distorted and pull on their
anchor points, creating the "cottage cheese"
